Shrinking DMC 1 to HDD

Hi everyone! I'm trying to shrink my DMC 1 (US NTSC) onto my HDD for use with HD Loader. I've tried everything but the game won't boot. It just gave me a black screen when I try to load the 2.5g shrunk iso. The original iso worked fine of course.

If you managed to get it to work, could you lend me a hand please?

what u dont have to shrink dmc 1 to boot it on hdloader.
just install it manually

Check here for info on how to burn with DVD decrypter: http://afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/117975 Here's some info on the HD: http://forumshttp://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/136440 You shouldn't need to shrink it to fit onto your HD. Try installing w/o shrinking and see if it works.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I wanna shrink it because it would half the size of the ROM and save a lot of space on my 40g HDD.

I know the Japanese version of DMC1 could be shrunk and still works, but I couldn't get the US version to work. If anyone was able to, I'd be grateful to hear your advice.

The only other thing I can think of is run it using the HD Advance loader. I know it had greater compatibility than HD loader. Try searching here for some more specific advice: http://www.ps2hd.com/forums/
