Fixing PS2 hardrive errors

Ive got some partiton errors on my hard drive and was wondering if anyone knows of any software out that would fix them.

Are you using WinHIP when this happens or is it when its in the Ps2?

Ive tried both. On the ps2 it just wont install, and on winhiip it give a partition collision error. I can fix it by deleteing the game that is having a collision with another, but i dont like deleteing games. Also, on the winhiip scan/fix option it shows a bunch of "pieces," i guess that how you would describe them, that i cant get any access to either by the ps2 or by browse/deleteing them from winhiip. Those pieces are the ones causing the problem, they are the ones that always say they have some kind of partion collision with a working game on the hard drive. How do i get rid of the pieces?

I kept getting errors with WinHIP every time i hooked it up 2 my PC, kept saying something about Checksum errors that were fixable then 2 mins later it would get another error, When it's in the Ps2 is it the partition collision error message or does it just say no hdd connected? You could try installing Windows to see if that works if not then the hdd maybe faulty.
