I have been copying dvds for a lil while now. My buddy uses shrink and decrypter, and says he loves it. I use decrypter fine, no problems there.
But when i use shrink (ver 3.2), it gives me a error message when it gets ready to burn. I have nero 6.0 and i still dont know what the prob is. Also, i am using Maxwell DVD+R discs.
I have read many forums, watched interactive guides, had my buddy come over to check it out and still yet, no luck!

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP............

I don't understand those logs, myself. Maybe someone who does will chime in. In the meantime, the only thing I can suggest is to go under "Edit", in the menu at the top (DVD Shrink open), and click on "Preferences". Then click on the "File I/O" tab, and make sure the "Enable burning with Nero" box is checked.
Other than that, I'd say to uninstall and re-install, both DVD Shrink and Nero.
Good luck!

I think your main problem here is your discs are newer than your firmware knows what to do with. you've either gotta use different discs or wait 'til newer firmware comes along to cater for those Maxell discs. At least you can keep them to one side until then..

According to my link, the JS04 firmware is the latest.

I am also curious as to why that firmware won't recognize maxells.

What speed rate are those maxell + discs?

Use this free handy tool to ID your blank media.Try to use the 1100A to locate that MID code. Should be: Maxell-002-00/Ricohjpn-r01/Ritek-R03
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...

Did you try them on your NEC 1100A?

That 1100A is a very fine burner, but in pio mode so uninstall that controller and reboot. Also the hard drive controller.

I'd take that 1100A over the HP 640c any day of the week. IMHO. My dad and a buddy both have the 1100a. Dad don't burn anything, unless I go over there, and my buddy burns up a storm using basically the same media I use.Verbatim digital movie quality: MCC-002/tons of Maxell +4x Ricohjpn-r01/Sony +1x-8x Yuden000-T02.He's gotten the majority of media from me. My buddy's 1100 definitely hates moser bauer and cmags.

Here's the link to clear off roxio from your pc:
http://www.microadvantage.net/downloads/zapper60.zip

Definetely get rid of all remnants from that program.

You may also have to clear nero off your pc completely. Use the nero cleantool:

http://ww2.nero.com/us/Nero_6_Clean_Tool.html

Then re-load nero back onto pc and remember to leave off the INCD packet.

Here's how I go about that using windows xp home:

Start/control panel/system check/hardware/device manager:

open up the tree for IDE/ATAPI controllers. You'll see 2 primary and 2 secondary channels. Click on top primary/right click properties/Advanced setting and look for dma or udma mode

Click on the bottom primary/and make sure they say dma/udma if available

Do the same for both secondary channels. Make sure they do not say PIO mode only! You have 2 channels that need re-booted:

Find 1 of them, right click properties/advance setting/driver and uninstall then reboot.

Find the secondary channel, uninstall that driver and reboot again and see how it goes.

XP should automatically set those channels to dma/udma/or dma/udma if available.

For example, my top primary is UDMA-5 and top secondary is UDMA 2.The 2 other channels are UDMA if available.
