Staples have the sony 1x-8x spindles of 50 for $17.94 for both plus and dash r media.
Also have 25 pack spindles of sony RW media for $14.94
This sale is not as good as the last 2 weeks there when you could get Yuden000-T02 fujis for 30 cents apiece,but should be lots of Yuden000-T02's mixed in with the SonyD11 in the plus format spindles. Look for made in Japan on the wrapper for the sony TY!.

Thanks for the heads up saugmon! Those Sony DVD+Rs Made in Japan ARE YUDEN000 T02! In fact, I haven't ever seen a Sony 50 pack spindle in the DVD+R that was not Made in Japan. But for sure, all need to LOOK at the spindle before purchase! Personally, I really like those Sony AccuCore Discs! They burn Great & Feel good in the hands too! Quality Discs! :)

My local staples is only 2 mins away.Everytime that store has the sony 50 packs on sale,it's a 50/50 shot for the tys and taiwanese SonyD11.Those spindles are always mixed together.Both are excellent quality!

Thanks for the heads up saugmon..beats going to wal-mart paying 30 bucks for a 50 pack....by the way i get the sony DVD-R "made in tawian" they code out as Sony08D1...top notch 1st class media :)

When staples run out of the yudens,I take their flier accross the street to wal-mart to price match.
I noticed that the dash 1x-8x sony 08d1 are both made in japan and taiwan with that same MID code.I've used them both,seems ok.

I just got through checking out some other local stores and the sales for dvd media is poor on them:
Office Depot: Phillips- most likely cmags
Best Buy: Memosux,30% off
Circuit City: Nex Tech 25 packs for under $7, probably crappola as well.

Stay away from those Circuit City NexTech, they are crappy CMC Mag. Friend bought them and gave me a backup movie they had done, it really looked awful.

Yea most people don't know what media is good and what media is crap because they don't come to AD. They just see the memorex commercials.

Picked up 2 50x spindles of the Sony's for my 1st set of burns. At $36 for 100 I was expecting crap. Sure enough, they are TY's. Nowhere for me to go but down, huh? Thanks for the tip.

No problem Lemmer,the sad part about this sony sale,those fujis that staples had on sale the last 2 weeks prior to this sale was only 30 cents apiece.The plus 8x,made in japan fujis are also coded Yuden000-T02! I'm glad I stocked up last week!

Just got some 50 pack Sony at Best buy $18.00 they are Ty's also made in Japan have you tried the sony's made in tai. ??

Sony +1x-8x:
Made in japan: Yuden000-T02
Made in taiwan: SonyD11
I've only ran into 1 25 pack spindle of the SonyD11 and accidentally burned the first one at 16x and it turned out great.Both the yudens and D11 will fly at 16x,it's the only media my benqs let me overburn at 16x if I desired.Both those MID codes are very good!
I can vouch for those yudens.Should have been at staples the last 2 weeks prior for those 30 cent ty fujis!

just don't try the Staples name brand, they don't Burn or play well!
It has taken a long time to discover the many different ways to burn,scan,ripp,download,cut,paste and protect.
Never give up on new ways and new solutions

I really like these sony ty disc's, They have a nice look to them and are nice and smooth to write on. Man if they keep this up i'll never half to order media online again :) I just wish a retail store sold dvd cases for cheap, As a side note, If anyone needs some dvd cases meritline has 100 for $25 shipped. Not as good as the free blockbuster ones but if you dont want to mess around with that then there nice and there sony oem to.

Yo klinger, to get the free blockbuster cases,you'll have to go rummaging through their trash dumpsters, LOL.
I believe wednesdays are the day they throw away the original cases and place them in their own secure cases on the new releases.
I don't have no nearby blockbusters,maybe 40 miles? They all went under years ago.
Grab a snorkel and dive on in a blockbuster dumpster! LOL
