Issue with winrar and avi file

HI there, hopefully someone can help me.. I download a movie it was in avi format but it was in winrar.. when I unrar the file and it comes up say certain files are corrupet... now no-one else has had this issue with this file just me :( so I got a different verison and the same thing... but more this time and same thing I am the only one getting this winrar issue.

Would you guys have any idea how I could over come this? I only have a trial verision of winrar so could that be the issue? really odd its happening to the same movie but different verision of the movie...

Does it stop at the point when it says files are corrupted or does it axtract the file out? Iv had some say that the header file is corrupt and other things are corrupted but it still extracts the ISO out and works fine.

nah its seems to let me know the files like rar14 corrupt and then 16, 18 ect ect not all but some.. but its still continue to unrar but when you go to the file to find it its not there so it never unrar the file (hope that makes sense)

I got the full verision of WinRAR now and it found more corrupt files lol... not good

Its very odd that its just this movie that I am having issue with and two different verision of the movie and seems like I am the only one... strange....

The Devils rejects.. the first one I got was a TS and that had a few corruptions about 3 rar files, so I found a dvdrip of the movie and download that and that had around 5 corrupt files.. I got the full verision of WinRAR tried that and it said the dvdrip had 8-10 corrupt files lol...

I then downloaded trial verision of Power Achiever and gave that a go and it said only one file corrupt (or error) which was r48.... ahhh bloody computers not stright and simple lol

More then likly the DVD-rip isnt a rip of the DVD cause this movie dosent even come out till Nov 8th uasly the DVD-rip movies come out 2 weeks before DVD relase or somtimes 2 but thats a month early.

So either the files are the same and they just changed the torrent name or it is a DVD made disc from the Screener file orignely out. If you understand what im saying. But anyway sorry to say I dont have an answer why WinRAR isnt extracting it and giving you errors. possibly bad torrent or bad download. did you scan it with the SFV file in the archive to see if it is complete.

If you unrar a file and it tells you Example rar14 is corrupt then try downloading just the rar14 file again and see if it fixes the problem.

Hi, get exactly the same problem with some film from newsgroups. Using quickpar without probleme, it's reparing and everything and then when i intend to link with WinRAR, i get many of the files corrupted.
Second thing i am using newsleecher software on 100proof server. And almost all film header i get are said incompleted by newsleech, is that kind of normal or should i change server/soft.

I d/l another verision of the movie and the same issue there something in the file I think my pc just hates and cant deal with it... I guess computers have their own personality and mine hates this one rar file lol...

So I have given up just wait for the movie to come on paytv lol

I ended up finding a AVI verision of the movie that was not WinRAR so I just download that and it work fine... dvd rip too which is great seeming its not coming out yet on dvd... in Australia its only at the cinema still YEAH!

Im glad it worked for you but watch out for films that say are DVD-riped if these movies are still out on movie theaters and arnt schduled to be relesed on DVD soon then more then likly it isnt a DVD rip. It is more then likly a Screener version converted into a DVD. Whuch Screener or TS are movies people video record at the theaters and then upload them for people to watch. Quility is uasly very low but if its a good movie and you dont mind the poor quility then I guess thats the way to go. Download it and it will hold you over till the DVD version comes out.

Cool I know about TS and TC.. but this is a dvd one not a TC or TS it come up with property of Blah Blah every now and then in the movie but thats ok... price you pay I guess, you can till its a dvd one crystal clear and perfect, not like TS or TC that look like VHS lol
