Here's the deal: I burned a couple movies on my dvd player a toshiba notebook and now everytime I try to burn a dvd it goes through the whole process of anyalzing, burning, and what not but then when it pop the dvd out, it's still blank! It doesn't burn onto the blank dvd. Can anyone please help me with any suggestions? Thanks!

Give us a bit more information.

You must be using DVD Shrink cos your in the shrink forum, but what settings are you ticking, what other (if any) progs are you using, and what does it tell you on the screen when its finished?

What settings would you like to know? Plus I'm running it with Nero and when the dvd is all done it just pops it out like it should but the disk that was supp to burn is still blank.

Here is one guide off AD's guide tab for Shrink. Check the guide and see if you see any problem with your settings.

On one of those successful backups that says it is empty:

Look at the bottom side of that backup for actual burn.You'll see a discoloration of purple from where the burn starts and finishes.If it isn't burned,it will be an even purple.Just compare it to one of the blanks.

I go along with Jerry476,probably media quality: What is the brand name/format/and speed rate of your blank media?

Use neroinfotool to find actual ID code for your media/Burner's model#/and firmware version.

Or:
Download this free program to ID your blank media. It will also tell you the actual burner model# and the current firmware version. Give us all that info:

Also: What type of drive is giving you this empty disc error?
That notebook DVD-RW drive?
Another DVD-RW or dvd-rom drive?
A stand alone player/ps2 or xbox game console?
