I know it may sound like a dumb question and it probably is...

but I gave up on my original burn of total overdose and threw it away, ive also deleted the original from my comp. I still have a copy of a rebuild that i made that didnt work but and have since found what i was doing wrong.

Im presuming that I can just use the rebuild files to make another rebuild? just skipping out the isobuster step is that right?

IF so can anybody give me the original file order please, it would be much appreciated

Depends on what type of game you like
If you are a Grand Theft Auto fan then you'll love it.
I personally think it is one of the better games to have
come out lately.

It may work rebuilding a rebuild, depending on why it did not work.
the best method would have been to keep the original on your
computer and just rebuild it correctly
If you rebuilt and burned the files, but in the wrong order
or something then it should work if you just take those files and
burn them in the correct order.
The game is like a cros between GTA and Max Payne

yeah that was what i was thinking and y I asked 4 the file order ant be arsed downloadin another. I think it will most probably be the file order, the game doesnt even attempt to load which leads me to believe that one of the first boot files is in the wrong order, I found that thread with the original file order in so ill give that a go later

Havent had alot of luck with re-builds thus far, especially not with the Nero method. I got fifa 2006 to work using cdvdgen method yest which was a touch and will try total overdose again later.

Cheers guys, will let u know how i got on

Err, I burnt total overdose with Nero after 1 rebuild using verbatium discs, I used to use bulk paq and they're shite, so use verbatium and rebuild normally and It will work like a charm as long as you rebuild properly!!!

blow me off will'ya???

Dunno, I use TDK and never have any problems with them apart from the rebuilds so dont think its the discs, I'm new to re-building though, got a couple to work, so think its my error somewhere

dunno what the original size was dude, thats y I started the thread in the first place as I only have the rebuild, in another thread someone else said that their IRX file was very small, so its probably right, most of the time the problem lies in the files being burned in the right order me thinks

@steimy,

Please pardon me my friend, I'm not a pro on PS2 games and I can backup and understand the rebuilding process fairly that's all. However, I was just being curious to why the need to rebuild an already rebuilt game? It's much and much easier using the normal step on DVD Decrypter to ISO, Read R, and then ISO, Write W -- since it's already on a DVD5 backup.

Again, I sincerely apologize if this doesn't make any sense alright. I know you're probably one of the most knowledgeable members (here at Afterdawn.com) when it comes to PS2 games backing up, thus I was wondering that's all. Have a great day buddy!!

you should never take any notice of what the size shows in isobuster,it never shows the correct size anyways

if you use Nero, the order doesnt matter

no i just get typing sometimes and get ahead of myself.
You are 100% correct. If the game is already rebuilt and
working then a simple 1:1 copy with DVD Decrypter would
work just fine.
It just sounded to me by his original post that he did not
have a working version. He mentioned further down that the game doesn't even attempt to load. So i figured he just had rebuilt
the ISO with the incorrect file order. Even with Nero i make sure
i drop them into the program in the same order they appear in
ISO Buster. Hursty mentioned that doesn't matter, and he is
probably right, but it couldn't hurt either.
That is hjust the way i was taught to do it
and every rebuild i have done works. So why change.

Hursty: i was asked by a friend to ask you if you have seen any
news on the PAL release of Resident Evil 4 for PS2?
He just can't wait to get his hands on that one.

@QuiteFury,

What game are you trying to rebuild? ISO Buster is good, but you may need to google around the net and get APACHE 2 instead. Apache 2 handles the layers better, just a side note that's all.

yeah thats right steimy, I had rebuilt the game a couple of times with no luck, ditched the original by accident as I thought it was the shitty re-bulid and deleted the original download hence just left with 1 shitty rebuild, probably in the wrong order. now I wanna 're-build the re-bulld' changing the order.

aint done it yet, will try it after work, c how it goes

cheers 4 the help, sorry 4 the confusion

as long as you have all the files, just use ISO Buster
to extract them to a folder, then rebuild it in the
correct order and i figure it will work. I have never tried
that but files are files so it should work fine.

I was thinkin that i wouldnt need Isobuster as it was already a re-build and I'd used it before to make the smaller files in the first place, what ya reckon?

If it is in ISO format then yes you need ISO Buster
to extract the files out of it so that you can put them in
the correct order and re-burn them (rebuild them)
If what you have on the disc is just the game files then you
take those, drag them to a new folder on your desktop
then use someting like Nero Burning Rom to rebuild it to an
ISO, in the correct file order, and burn the ISO
Rebuilding is not all about making the games smaller
Is is used more for doing things like removing
or replacing dummy files.
