I am trying to copy band of brothers disk three and have two problems. First off, I ripped in file mode with decrypter successfully. I then encoded with Shrink successfully. After Shrink was finished and decrypter went to burn the disc there was an error waiting for me:
DeviceIocontrol(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) failed!
Unable to lock volume for exclusive access
Reason: Access is denied
I found in a thread that another program may be using the DVD drive so I downloaded Process Explorer to find any programs using this drive and close them. Process Explorer didn't find anything under the search for 'cdrom' or 'D:'. I clicked ignore to the error message to continue anyway and the drive started burning the file to disk.
The disk continued to burn up to about 88% when: Failed to read from file: "C:\Band_Brothers_D3.IS0" Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
Prior to this error, I got a loud OH NO! which sounded like it came from clonedvd2, however I did not have clonedvd2 open. I think I clicked ignore and the disk continued. When it was done I popped it into my stand alone DVD player and it worked up until about the fifth chapter of episode two where the player just kept starting and stopping.
What the heck is going on! Can somebody please help.
My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

I've encountered this prob before and it seems that somewhere in the transition between DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter, Shrink doesnt let go of the drive. I close DVD Decrpter and reopen it go to Mode/ISO/write/"name of movie" and happy burning.
Also you can start ripping with DVD Shrink ( unless it can't crack the code ), you don't have to use DVD Decrypter as a first step.
Being an eposodic disc I'd say it would be a pretty big file. I've backed up several with no probs. Read the guide on backing up episodic DVD's.
As for the "OH NO", it is the default error msg sound in DVD Decrpter.
