Im trying to burn a torrent copy of burnout revenge.

After reading every post on the forum and rying many of the methods i keep hitting the same wall.

When i go to play the game It plays really choppy, freezing every ten seconds or so then resuming.

The torrent is complete (40 rar files i checked) So i figure im doing something wrong.

I burn using dvd decrypter at 1x speed and still get this error.

My burner is a memorex dual layer 16x speed Dvd burner and the media i use is memorex dvd-R 8x speed dvd's

Any help on this specific issue not the burning of games in general will be much appriciated.

I would try burning at a higher speed, maybe x4. I had no problems at all when i burned at x4 to a TDK DVD-R, the fact you say its freezing then resuming indicates to me that you either need to burn at a higher speed or use different media as those are the main causes for choppy game play.

aye aye man

Might i ask what is a better media to use with my specific burner?

I have tried sony dvd's which dont paly at all after i burn even when burning dvd movies to play on a dvd player so any form of sony is out of the question.

i only used memorex because my buner is memorex so i figured they would work.

Im not all for wasting money to "test media".

Thanks for the help.

WOW a memorex burner hope its better than the blank media they produce which is pretty much junk.

i would try Taiyo Yuden,Verbatim or Ritek all are top notch media and most burn at 2X for games if that doesnt work try burning the game on a different kind of burner (a freinds) and see if that helps it may be your memorex burner.or a firmware update may be in order for the burner

http://www.firmware.fr.st/

make sure everything else is off also while burning internet connection ,other programs etc.

burned mine on Philips 8X DVD-R and it works great
My friend used TDK and his also works great
as above, Memorex are just crap media, i tried them
when i first started backing up my games and had a very
low success rate. I can't remember if i ever got even 1 to work
Taiyo Yuden and Ritek G04 are surely top notch if you can get
them. If not Philips, TDK, Verbatim are widely used
I suggest 8X DVD-R
burn games at 4X with DVD Decrypter
