Nope, only the plus format can be booktyped!

What's your burner brand name and model#?
What dvd programs do you have?

if is not successfully why i have this information when scan using dvd identify Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-ROM]. I used EMPREX DVD DUAL 16X DOUBLE LAYER and I used this software to change my book type +-r http://www.drvupdate.com/dl-content.htm My dvd burner software is decrypter 3.540

that disc doesn't look like a DL to me ...

I saw that link you posted and it says the emprex burner can download it's own bitsetting utility-thus enabling booktyping.

This can only be on plus format only! +r/+rw/and +dl!

Try some good plus format media. Staple's have the +1x-8x on sale this week,and the ones made in japan are taiyo yuden with the MID code of YUDEN000-T02. Look those labels over good for the japanese plus media.
