Why are you using WinRAR, are they Rar files. DVD Decrypter is a ripper and a burning program. If you are using it to burn the file must be an iso files as that is all Decrypter will burn. If the files are in another format you need to convert.

the files are like this, tgp-dvdr-how.r00 and so one, then it becomes an .img file. you are saying it has to be a .iso file?

You should be able to burn this with Decrypter. Does the file play on your computer okay, I am thinking that this maybe in PAL format and not NTSC which is the standard for Region 1.

is it true that DVD Decrypter is not as hard on your hard drive when ripping a dvd as DVD Shrink is.

DVD Decrypter just rips, so all it is doing is reading the data on the disk, little CPU usage is needed. Shrink rips and encodes at the same time so it uses 100% of your processor. It really is not hard on the hard drive, just the CPU.
