Problem with vcd file

ok well i downloaded a vcd file i believe but i cant get it to play with divx player or any of my other players (says failed to open file. check to be sure its avi or mpeg format). Also i tried using nero express and clicked on video cd but when i add the file it says unsupported file format. I also tried looking at it in avi codec but it just closes suddenly. Here's the name of the file if it helps "The.Amityville.Horror.(2005).VCD-CTY.Recode.DivX.OTR.ShareConnector" thanks for any help

What is the File Extention?? you know the Last 3 letters after the Dot at the end of the Files Name....

Well the problem is Most Likely either one of two things....

Iether you do not have the Correct codec installed to decode this File or the File is Corrupted...If it is a codec problem you Just need to install the Correct one But if the File is Corrupted then there really isn"t much you can do accept delete the File and maybe Try downloading it again....Try "Gspot" to find out what codec you need....
