I have 8x media should i burn at 8x or should i burn at 4x and why or why not??? Thank you

Burn at 4x as you will have less chance for errors..doing things faster only leads to errors.

i have a 16 times burner. regardless if the media is 16 x 8x or 4x i burn everything at a 2.4 i care more about quality than speed

Definitely burn at 4x speed using quality media. Because of those reduced little errors at the higher speed,you may want to re-rip those backups later on down the road. Too many of those errors,then the harder it will be to re-rip them.



Poor quality media: You'll probably have to burn even slower like 2.4x and reduce your backup target.
