I've downloaded the Shinsen Subs version, and what I've downloaded was 2 AVI files only, no other files included. From what I've read before there should be a file for the subtitles, but I assume that the subtitles file is already embedded in the AVI files. I already tried using numerous programs (DIKO, GSpot, DivxtoAVI, etc.) to do different functions (encode, extract, etc.) and now I'm lost and my computer is filled with so many video editing programs it's not even funny. Can someone help me? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

I love Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children - it's super spectacular and amazing, especially the actions are pure incredible.
Anyways, back to your question, I use VSO DivXtoDVD to convert my AVI file into DVD. I don't know about you, but mine is only one big AVI file and it already has English subtitles when everythings completed. Get this free setup version from here http://download2.vso-software.fr/vsoDivxToDVD_free_setup.exe it should be fine - try it out and it converts fast too.

I actually have two versions of the movie, and I think the one you have (one AVI file) is one of the versions I have. I had no problem burning that version, but the one I mentioned first (with 2 AVI files) I found to have better quality, so I'm trying to figure out how to combine the 2 AVI files into one big AVI.

@Jinzo,
I'm not sure how many versions are out there, but I got it from my nephew about 10 days ago. He told me that he got it from the net as well. So he burned the movie (with AVI file) for me on a CD-R disc. Once I finished watching the movie (AVI file) on my Philips DVP642, which it can play DivX and AVI files easily. I converted my AVI file with VSO DivXtoDVD right away because FFVII: Advent Children is truly super awesome. I'm not sure about the version you have, but the quality on the one I have is on par to DVD quality.
Anyways, like I said just get this freebie http://download2.vso-software.fr/vsoDivxToDVD_free_setup.exe and run it to convert to DVD for you -- it's faster than Nero Vision Express in my opinion. However, if your have Nero Vision Express and want to use Nero to convert your files into DVD then you can do that as well. You'll need to run and convert both AVI files, once that process is done with DivXtoDVD or Nero Vision Express, then just back it up with Nero Burning Rom or any of your desire burning engines.

If you really want to merge the files, after you convert them to DVD format, you can use VOBEdit and Demux the files into 1 .m2v and 1 .AC3. Then you can use IFOEdit to mux them into 1 title set or choose not to split the file and then import it into Nero Vision Express.
And Alkohol, I was reading your sig and you should try some German beer, and I don't mean mainstream like Becks, St. Pauly Girl, Lowenbrau, etc... Try some of the less known ones like Kostritzer Schwartz or Monchshof schwartzbier. Kostritzer is a black Lager and Goethe, the famous German Poet used to drink that beer. Monchshof is rather unique as it is brewed using black pils. This beer (also black) comes from Kulmbach Germany which is a small town that produces great beers!!!
They have much more aroma and flavor than any mainstream beer. Ever since I had my first Monchshof, I could not drink any normal beers any more, other than Czechvar. Both beers have a bitterness and aroma similar to fine dark chocolates.
You can also try a Weiss (wheat) beer. The best Weiss beers come from Munich and my favorite is Schneider Weiss Original. Hoegaarden from Belguim (in Belgium they are called Wit beers) is also very good.
Let's just say that now, if I even look at a Corona, I'll vomit for days and Heineken is just drinkable water. You may have a different opinion, but you should give these beers a try.

@JaguarGod,
It's sort of off topic a little here but anyways I apologize for the original poster and the Mod.
Hmmmm.... I guess I've been missing all them great stuff huh. Well, I'll be glad to try the one you mentioned "Monchshof" soon. Honestly, I'm a noob when it comes to the good import stuff, and I guess I'm spoiled by them Heinekens. Perhaps, I'm not really an alcoholic afterall.
