Need help (ASAP) geting back online after Playing ps2 online(comcast)

Lastnite It took me for ever to get the network config. Right on my PS2(it keeps saying test timed out) well I got online played for 10 hours went to bed.

Woke up and socom would not let me online , so I pluged the cable back into the PC and a comcast page came up,
It said I needed to download something to get back online, So I did and I cant finsh installing it Because of error Brower does not support XMLHTTP objects How can I fix this?

I cant even get my PS2 back online whats going on?

So now Im back to dial-up
If you people dont know well then I gots to call comcast

Anyone else have comcast and play online

What Im I doing wrong,I dont have a Router

OK, Comcast got me back to were I wanted to be, But Im scared I will have to go throght this crap everytime I swith my cable from the PC to the PS2

So if theres someone out there that plays comcast online it would be real nice if your could give me a step by step,

Do I first unplug the modem, then unplug ethernet prom PC?

What all options Do I pick on the start up disc?
Do I really need to enter my isP, Netmsk,etc
Because the other night I did not need too
