In another forum a guy said that memorex DL+R are made by ritek and DL-R is made by cmc. Is this always true as Im thinking bout picking up some discs and dont wanna get cmc Mag, garbage.

don't know if that is TRUE 100% of the time, but i can tell you i will NEVER take a chance to buy the Memorex DLs in EITHER format, i don't want to be the guinea pig and get home and find out what i THOUGHT were to be Riteks, and i get friggin CMC MAG or crappy a$$ Philips coding instead~ :)

it's your money, your chance to take, i for one am not willing to take that chance..i buy my Ritek Ridatas from reputable online retailers for a decent price during the sales...Ridata/Ritek branded, so i KNOW 100% what i am getting when i pay for them...

i have to agree with kiv. memorex is a toss up. u never know what ur getting. unless u have a horse shoe up ur -ss i would stay clear.

Some of the +R DL Memorex crap is PhilipsCD2 ... only marginally better than CMC

marginal difference AT BEST, Philips coded media is HORRIBLE, i guess when you mix CMC MAGs w/ Philips coded media together, you just get a melting pot of CRAP for DL media~ :)
