BLUE faces and sound problems (ARGHHH)

Hi,
When I play the divx ddv on my computer, everthing is fine (colour and sound). once I rip to my computer and then convert it using avi2dvd I get blue faces on the actors (this only happens to films that are in colour)

Also, I got alod of hal hartley films the other day and I ripped them as usual (fine, no problem) I load them into avi2dvd without a problem and then when I add job>start it starts to convert and then an error message states that there is a problem to do with the audio (can't remember what exactly) but it's definately audio related.


3rd query (sorry), when I rip my divx movie and there are subtitles with it, there are .sub and I can't load them in. Shoudl I just change the characters to .srt ?



Could anybody help me with these problems? it would be much appreciated !
