ok ive been doing some research on running burned games, and i found out that another way to run games is to save em to the PS2's harddrive and then run them from there.

can anyone please explain to me which method is better between: using modchips and simply running them from HDD? I'm leaning towards the HDD mostly because its cheaper and looks less complicated :)

and also, i went to a website called consolepoint.com and they have all this software u need to run them from the HDD. Its so much! again, can anyone please tell me what software i need to buy to be able to run HDD games?

thanks a lot!!

ok thanks for replying just wanna clarify some things:

1) all i need to get is a HDD and HDAdvance, right? (already have network adapter)

2) will the ps2 be able to run all ps2 games, regardless of region coding and whatnot?

3) After loading the games to HDD, all I have to do is run them, right? no further steps required??

thanks,!!!

Hdadvance does everything for you all you have to do is pop it in when you have your hdd hooked up to your ps2 hdadvance will format the hdd for you add the games and boot up the hdd so you can play the games really all you have to do is leave hdadvance in your ps2 once you have all the games you want on hdd but let me tell you this don't think it run every single game but it will run most of the good once you can just look here http://forum.hdadvance.com/hd_advance_compatibility.asp?cataid=

I have not been able to find anywhere on the net where
it mentions anything about the regions?
I was thinking of slapping my spare HDD in my old V7

anyone know about how it does with multi-region discs?
Will it play both PAL & NTSC on an NTSC PS2?

As far as the chip it will not save your laser life.
But it will load every game, no swapping, no rebuilding,
no problem at all.
