Hey, I'm looking into buying a V4 PS2 Flip-top but I read a tutorial on how to install it and it seemed a bit 'sketchy' what with tape and the like. Can anyone reccomend it?

Also, how long does the PS2 warranty last for?

I have a v.4 PS2 and a flip top. The installation is simple. The main thing you need to watch out for is the eject cable. It's the silver ribbon that connects the DVD housing to the eject button. For installation info check here: http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/fliptop/page1.cfm Mine works great. I think your original warranty only lasts 3 months, unless you bought an extended warranty. Now for double posting I'm afraid you have to spend the weekend with this guy:

Anyway, thanks alot. I've had my PS2 for ages now three or four years I think so it won't matter if the warranty sticker comes off.
