I am trying to combine two MPEG2 files. They were originally in AVi format I converted them to MPEG2 and am now using AVI/MPEG/RM Joiner v4.11 registered. I let it run all night and while I was at work, but it never completed. So I cancelled the operation and freed up some more disc space and started to run the program again. This is what happens as I set there and watch. The blue bar begins to move usually nine bars about 1/4 of the way complete, then just clears itself waits a few moments and then repeats the same process. I know the file is working because when I cancelled the first try, I went and watched the movie it combined it but all the words and movements were out of place with each other. So I am guessing it is creating mutliple files when it keeps going back and forth in the progression bar. The video size and frames are identical. One file is a little over 7000000kb. Does anyone have any idea how long this process will take? Is something not working correctly? Thanks in advance.

I haven't used the said program, but would recommend Power Video Converter or Advanced X Video Converter for joining mpegs.

Thank you so much for refering me to Power Video Converter. This program is awesome and if you look around it can also be freeware too ;). It works great fast and no errors. Thanks again

Glad that it works. I actually like Advanced X Video Converter a little bit more. So if you have time, check that out too.

Happy video editing!
