PS2 30004R Laser Burned Twice... Please help!

Guys my PS2 30004R Laser burned a couple of months back so I get it repaired but the new laser burnt the next day. So I get it repaired again and the laser burned 3rd time after a week of use. Now I can't play DVD games but CD games are working fine. Please tell me whats wrong with my console and any possible solution.

next time i suggest getting a laser fix installed
You should be able to find one although most of them are made'for the V12 Slim
They basically stop spikes in power from burning out the laser
But you should not need it on an older model, i wonder if they
just have too much power going to the laser so it keep burning out.
but if CD's play then i don't think it is.
It would not play anything is the laser was shot.
Have you tried cleaning and adjusting the laser.
If not you should before you pay more money to have it fixed.

Actually first my PS2 stopped reading DVD movies but games were working so I tried adjusting the DVD voltage and them DVD games also stopped working. So I gave it for repair and he told me that he worked with BIOS to make the DVD movie system work but in the end he managed to fix the game. So is it the bios that creating the problem? And he also told me that the coil was burned which made it unable to read DVD's.

Please tell me what type of repair does it need right now. Thanks in advance.

i have one suggestion just wait until the ps3(it wont be to terribly long until it comes out) it may be a long time but it would be worth
