enable video preview - no work?

On the laptop it doesn;t show anything.... on my pc fine.

What's wrong with the laptop and am I just copying a black screen??? (I guess I'll find out in a couple of hours?)

any idea? Thanks :)

The default settings on Shrink is set to use your graphics card (hardware acceleration) to preview the movie.

Alternatively, you can use the built-in renderer to preivew the movie. To do this: Open up Shrink, Click on Edit and scroll down to Preferences..., click on the tab labeled: Preview, check to make sure Enable video and audio preview is check marked...if this doesn't work, then go to where it says Select DirectX video renderer and choose Built-in Software Renderer, then try to preview your movie.

Also, make sure you have the latest DirectX drivers. The latest version is 9.0c, I believe...

Now the other problem that seems to be happening which didn;t happen last year when I used DVD Shrink is that playback audio is not in synch with video????

any idea?
