Ripping A Backed Up Movie

i'm trying to figure out how to rip a backed up movie, when i try to cross copy it, it fails and when i tried to rip it with dvd decrypter i get the error

I/O Error
Device [1:2:0] HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162B 0015 (E:) (ATA)
ScsiStatus 0x02
Interception Check Condition

it goes a bit more but i dont really wanna type it all. the dvd works fine but just ripping it. anyone know how to fix this?

r u getting crc read errors? if so ur backup will probably not be able to be copied. i like to use dvd info to check for this. other than that any dvd burning app should do the job Nero,roxio,record now, and the list goes on.

it seems like a read error nothing about the error you mentioned tho it seems like its in the ifo files not the vob files

Your drive when ripping is more sensitive to bad spots on the disc than your player. This error means something is wrong w/ the disc. Try cleaning it off. Here's a guide for hard to rip dvd's:

If the disc is on poor quality media and it has degraded you probably won't be able to copy with any method.

yea something messed up it works on my laptop dvd burner so i'm not complaining. thanks everyone
