I have Sony camcoder TRV19 ,thats digital mini8 and wen I burn DVD on my Toshiba M45-S165 the quality of the burned video is poor and really not much diferent from VCD.I tried to burn DVD-RW direct,but I achved the same poor quality.I used win Movie Maker and win Movie Creator.Can I recive better quality with my hardware???

your camcorder is digital but it not High Defintion. So your pixels will be of lower quality and when burned to a DVD and shown on a big screen TV it will show lower quality. I have the same problem with my DVR (it's a Sony Ultimate TV digital video recorder------ like TIVO).... the quality is still poor even though it maybe digital. the new HD-DVD will solve this prob! Soon there will be HD-Tivo and HD-Camcorders and such that will allow you to record better quality and save it onto an HD-DVD recorder!
