i have a 2005 apple mini mac. i have mac the ripper on my computer.i want to strip tv show dvds of the protection codes so i can make a compilation of old tv shows. i ran an andy griffith dvd thru mac the ripper then put it in an external dvd player connected to my dvd recorder, then tried to record it to the recorders hardrive. it was rejected because of the protection coding.i thought mac the ripper was supposed to erase the coding.what did i do wrong , if anything?please help me . thanks for the help. porksausage

i dont see why it would do that.. check the official MTR forum for this one..

thank you for your help. i may have found out what i want. some one mentioned "join mode".i was wondering was that on mtr or something else? i have popcorn for burning the dvd. i would like to take cetain episodes from different old tv shows and make a compilation.so this " join mode" sounds like the ticket . thanks again porksausage
