DVD RIP quality isn't good

i use DVD to AVI DivX MPEG Ripper to RIP as .avi but the quality isn't that good.

here's what i set. the resolution 720x480 is the same as the DVD disc. frame rate is 29.97. i use the DivX codec 5.2



and here's the result

do you know any good software to rip the DVD? please show me how to config it as well

I'll say very satisfactory. If you use e.g. XviD, you can set higher quality output too. But best for you to try it yourself.

hiya, i was looking at im toodvd ripper, does it really cost 21 pounds per rip?? any way around it?
also can any one suggest a ripper which has better quality output?
