HDLoader 0.7c Randomly Crashes

Hi all. I recently got a 120GB hard drive (a Samsung SV1203N) and a network adapter for my PS2, and have been having troubles regarding HDLoader.

First off, my PS2 is v7, and I basically run it with the top off (accidentally broke the sliding pin used with the slide trick). I use SwapMagic to load a LaunchELF 3.4 disc, and then load HDLoader from there. I've got a handful of games installed on the hard drive, and I've tested two so far: Roadtrip and Ultimate Spider-Man, both US versions. They boot and play fine, but about half an hour into playing either of them, the PS2 just shuts off, the screen goes blank, and the reset button starts blinking red, and keeps blinking for a good 3 or 4 minutes.

At first I thought it might have been a problem with overheating, as the PS2 was quite noticibly hot on the bottom. I then elevated it from the floor (which would be an obvious cause for overheating), and tested it again, but it did the same thing. So, I'm at a loss. Has anyone else ever had a similar problem?

I'm gonna test another game shortly, see if it does the same. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

the same thing happened to me when my fan quit working. you need to keep
some type of cover on to let the air flow correctly.

I see, I see. Thank you. Hmm...guess I probably could have figured that one out myself. Yeah, time to put the top back on, I guess.Well, regardless, thank you very much.

Edit: Even better, it seems my cooling fan had something caught up in it. Now, cleaning it out, it seems to be working fine.
