yes, thanks for correcting me on that too Arcaine~ i REALLY didn't know about the 2 separate entities/formats...i don't have a video recorder so i never looked into the actual DETAILs of it~ :)

i've heard of dvd-vr or whatever it's called (just the name, don't know more than that) but i don't believe that's what the original poster has said he has.... just clarifying....

well all i really know is a DVD R for Video is essentially formatted to only be 120 min and not the 4.7gb. it is meant only to play video. that is why i had mentioned handheld camcorders. because the DV's they use are pretty much DVD R's for Video
