dvd burner doesn't show up as a target device

Help!
I have computer running dvd shrink. When I click the 'Target Device' tab, my burner shows up and I am able to burn directly with one click. On a friend of mines computer, we are unable to 'see' his burner, only the ISO and Hard Drive Folder options. We are both running the same version of dvdshrink (3.2.0.15) and the same version of Nero. Any ideas?
