ok so i got my soft modded xbox from an online store called halo2modstore and i am almost entirly sure its softmodded. anyway i tried this befor but since i have an active connection to the internet i f*cked up my xbox and went through this whole annoying proces but i finnaly got a new one. now should i disconnect my internet befor doing something like this. because i dont want to mess it up again? also the reason that i did this was to get the zentation mod on. and i dont think my dot halo could open that up is there a way that you could tell me how to do this anyway so i can atleast see what is used in it? and since it already has 50 modded maps in the hard drive will this mess it up. i want to be sure that it works so i guess should i maybe just save up my side money and get a third xbox and get that soft modded just normal softmodded? ok sorry for all the questions and possible spelling errors but im sure its readable.

Nope, dothalo doesn't work, so I decided anyways I am gonna hardmod, I have ordered my chips, I will use AIO to mod.

im really bad at all the computer stuff so im just gonna say it how i know it.
I tried two mod my xboxes(original) and they both screwed up, only way i can play games is to save the game to the harddrive then play it. I didnt mod because my computer and xboxes are really old, so the FTP wouldnt work no matter what i tried. I accidentally deleted all the files I used to mod and there is no ms dash on either xbox. From what i have read about hot swap, its something with the inside of the computer and if i take my computer apart my dad would get really mad at me. Is there anything else i can do? like a resue disk or something?

no, you can't access the xbox maps in such a way to copy them on to a memory card, unless you have a mod chip.
FTPing is the only way with softmodding.

i was playing h2 on xbc and some one force telliported and he used a trainer but i have no clue on how to use trainers on xbox but i can use them on comp. soo can some one please send me a link to a tutorial on how to force teliport but not a trainer i just whant to know how to make it my self can some one please give me a tutorial.

Hi there, teleporters?
I don't think that's a trainer, generally, teleporters work by using a special modding tool which you use on your PC.
So, for instance, when in the game, you can press up(d) + R or something, and that will teleport you to a certain location on the map.
Remember, google is your friend!
(Anyone want to play with me on xbc? I have awesome modded maps)

Ehe, Dothalo does work btw, ALL THE TOOLS WORK.
Softmodding is horrible. the Linux built in to the gamesave is impressive Iknow, but nevertheless, it's horrible and bugg.
If you are sure you got the tutorial right, and it still says map loading failed, you have the same problem as me.
Spend $30 and get a modchip. The xecuter rox my box! =p

okies.
btw guys, before you think of it, when the new Halo 2 maps come out, you can't "borrow" them off a friends xbox.
You need your own copy of the maps, it's the way they are implemented into the menu that's hard to trick.
that's what the recent 1.5 update was for.
well, at least now anyway.
