I'm trying to backup my Ultimate Spiderman (PC) game to a single DVD. I was able to do it for DOOM3 (using the guide found on this forum) with no problem. I tried using the same principles from the DOOM3 guide for Ultimate Spiderman, but it's not working. Below is what I've done:

1) I created a temp folder and named it "USM"
2) I copied CD3 first; then CD2 (overwrote all duplicate files/folders); then copied CD1 (overwrote all duplicate files/folders) to the "USM" folder to maintain the integrity of the file/folder structure
3) I opened up the .msi file and "tried" to edit it with ORCA; the original file looked like this (Media):

DiskID LastSequence DiskPrompt Cabinet VolumeLabel
1 10 Disc 1 SndSt2.cab USMCD1
2 11 Disc 1 SndStE.cab USMCD1
3 72 Disc 1 USMCD1
4 166 Disc 2 Sound.cab USMCD2
5 792 Disc 2 USMCD2
6 795 Disc 3 SndSt1.cab USMCD3
7 811 Disc 3 USMCD3
8 906 Disc 1 USMCD1

I edited the .msi file to this:

DiskID LastSequence DiskPrompt Cabinet VolumeLabel
1 10 Disc 1 SndSt2.cab USM
2 11 Disc 1 SndStE.cab USM
3 72 Disc 1 USM
4 166 Disc 1 Sound.cab USM
6 795 Disc 1 SndSt1.cab USM
8 906 Disc 1 USM

So all I did was delete 5th & 7th row changed the VolumeLabel to match my temp folder ("USM") and changed any 2 or 3 DiskPrompts to 1. I created my iso and tried to install, but when the Install window pops up and you click "Install", it closes instantly and nothing happens. I'm guessing I edited the .msi wrong. I should also mention there's a second .msi file called "ISScript9.msi" I don't know what it's for, but it's "Media" structure looks like this:

DiskID LastSequence DiskPrompt Cabinet VolumeLabel
1 8 1 #Data1.cab DISK1

Any help appreciated guys! Thanks in advance!

Why not just create images for each and put it on a single data DVD and run it like that using Daemon Tools?

Hmmm...never thought of that. I'm new to this whole putting multiple cd games on one dvd "thing". I'm going to try it and see if it's possible. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks!

No good...I just tried burning all three cd's (one folder for each) one one dvd as a data disc and for some bizarre reason, Nero renames the .msi file every single time! It renames it so when you try to do the install, you get an error message saying it can't find the .msi file; but the .msi file is fine BEFORE burning - I've checked and duble checke! I'm guessing it's got some weird protection...I tried "burning" (wrote the image to the hard drive and loaded it with Daemon Tools) it 5 different times and nothing. Any other suggestions? Thanks. In the meanwhile I'm going to go do some more searching.
