I found a site before that had the whole unit for 50 dollars...the entire track and laser block and everything, now i can only find sites with just the laser.

Thank you very much. I did continue to search and finally found the site that i had found before which offers this... http://www.mod-chip.com/en/v12_full_optical_block.php

Should arrive within the next couple of days. Damn brother sratched the swap magic disks, had to order a new set last week. Now the laser was taking ages to load my backups and was stuttering on pressed original disks, so i figured this was likely what was wrong.
