IF You are new forget DVD Decrypter or Smart Ripper have your self a 6 or upper version of Roxio, and Install DVDRegion Free, and once you have these 2 software Use ROXIO DISC COPIER and you will live in peace, it will automatically Transcode even a 10GB dvd into 4.7 GB, skipping all copy right errors.
Further more it also gives you an Option if you click the option button on the Disc Copier window to skip Menues and Extras and just copy the actual movie, so that your DVD movies will be as good as possible.

i disagree .Roxio's shiteful, it conflicts with nearly every other burning software available.

that may be so but the compression rate would be so high that the quality is going to be so poor that its not worth doing.

Well its not really as you have to pay for it.Decrypter and shrink are free
