Hi about a week ago i bought a swap magic disk it had instructions inside for my ps2(the new one slime line?) it said about using straws and things to activate micro switches ive put in all the bits and things but still nothing happens:S PLEASE HELP

To play backups with Swap Magic You need a magic key: http://magickeys.net/ Flip top: http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/fliptop-v12/pag... or tape and tissue mod developed by Pretense: If the fliptop doesn't work, just give up on it and do a tape and tissue mod. Open up your case again and tape the back sensor (toward the upper left and beneath the hinge part of the lid) with duct tape or even regular Scotch tape (I use several layers to be on the safe side), put the case back together, and stuff a small ball of tissue into the hole for the front sensor (lower right just above the power button).

Yes i have done that but the tissue doesnt work i tape it down safe but still the disc dusnt spin i use all the things it says but nothing,,,,, on the hinge thing what should i use?

Something a little more specific as to what is happening would help.

Basically, you need to press down the two sensors for the "mod" to work. Tape just happens to be the cheapest and most convenient way. You will have to *open up* your PS2 to access the back sensor, directly below the tray hinge. The front sensor is externally accessible, which is why I just use a wad of tissue.

And what disc is not spinning? For normal Swap Magic usage, even if no mod has been performed, the Swap Magic discs will still spin up, since they are actual PS2-valid discs. It's just that a message like "Insert high-TOC disc" will pop up instead of the normal menu.

ive got the disc spinning with lid up but with all the games i have they come onto the load screen and nothing else happens? any ideas why my games are not working
