after shrink, can i choose the burning engine?
most use nero i assume,
it's great that shrink intergrates it so well.
I have both nero and vso copytodvd, which i hear had a better burning engine than nero
on the backup options, i have "burn with nero" and "rip to iso and burn with copytodvd"
will it work the same?
thanks
2 questions.
1. is Nero the best burning engine, or is another one better?
2. which of the options do i choose under burning engine, cause there are a few options for burning with CopyToDVD, one is rip to ISO and burn, but there are others...none of the options to use other engines have a simple "burn with ..." option,
anyone know what i'm talking about?
Hi I'm a new user of DVD Shrink as of last night. I was able to run Shrink and save to my hard drive. Can I use the DVD burner software that came with my computer, Roxio Easy DVD creator, instead of Nero?
The BEST is a subjective word. Nero is good. Lots of folks use it here. Highly spoken of. I us DVDdcrypter (free) with shrink with no problems.
I am not real familiar with the ISO mode, but from what I am reading at this site it is used if you are burning 1 to 1, in which case shrink would not be needed at all.
I use the file mode and then shrink the files to compress and dvddecrypter to burn the data to a single DVD-5 disc.
Check out bbmayo's guides located here at the forum. Great information and you will be burning in no time.
I would suggest downloading DVDdecrypter and checking it out.
Thanks very much. I used DVD Shrink with AnyDVD running in the background. I have downloaded DVDDecrypter, just haven't tried to burn a DVD yet. I'm hoping that DVDDecrypter support DVD+R, because that's what I have.
calcio07 ,
You will be fine as the burning engines do not care what the disks are- the burner does. Have fun burning and if you have a problem post back and we will see if we can help
