Guys looks like this movie has the same problems as Lords Of Dog Town dummy sectors at the beginning of the movie so i doubt if dvd shrink and or dvd decrypter will be able to do the movie by its self .was able to do the movie with CloneDVD 2 and anydvd 5.4.4.1 heres what it looks like

Yeah, I have a feeling that Sony will continue putting this new encryption on all of their new releases.

Judging from earlier posts on this movie, Decrypter will probably not be able to handle it. However, since AnyDVD and DVD Fab Decrypter handled LOD they will both probably do this one. Think Decrypter will need the crutch of AnyDVD to rip this one, and a lot more of the newer ones.

I was able to get a successful rip of Bewitched by using CloneDVD2 with DVD43 and AnyDVD running in the background. Not sure why it needed both of them running. I have more success withthe DVD43 than I do with the AnyDVD. I am now on my way to Shrink and Burn.

Vever mind with above tread. I was able to rip Bewitched with DVDD while DVD43 and AnyDVD were running in the background.

I am trying with my dvdx-copy plat. I have not been able to make it work, Is there a way to up grade it or do I have to try AnyDVD and DVD43. I have not used any other program except my dvd X copy platnium. How do you run both programs in the back ground?? Yes I am still a newbie I don't quite get all this dvd lingo!!!

DVDXcopy will not be able to rip this protection you must use either AnyDVD or DVD43 in the background. Do not use both at the same time this can cause problems. AnyDVD has a 21 day trial period and is available from http://www.slysoft.com DVD43 is free and available from http://www.filepedia.com. They are both drivers and run in the background and break encryption, Xcopy will then see the disk as unprotected and do it. I backed up Lords of Dogtown using Xcopy ver.5 and this movie had the exact same protection. I used AnyDVD in the background as Xcopy could not make it through on its own.

I tried to use DVD43 along with my dvdxcopy, but it read 99% then stopped any other suggestions? I tried express and advance

I also tried the AnyDVD I can't get either to work with my dvd xcopy, am I out of options, I don't want to purchase another program.

How cool is it that you guys already know about this. I used Dcreypter and it bombed in the first 5 seconds. All I ever used is decryt and shrink. i just DL'd DVDfab and it worked fine. I have never used it before and I dont know if it is any good but i guess I will give it a shot. Im gonna miss decrypter..:(
What do you guys think is the best DVD ripping program?

OK I give up. I've tried DVD Decrytper, DVD Fab Decrypter, AnyDVD, DVD43 and nothing has worked for me. When I try to burn with CloneDVD I get an error Invalid block Start Code (PS 10 VOBU 4 70 33 Clone 6 TCE) Any clues on how to get my back-up completed?

Bewitched was a "piece of cake" using CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD running, latest evrsion. Perfect back-up in about 20 minutes, Main Movie only. No compression either. Sony/Columbia. Seen this before. Bewitched WILL cause Nero Recode 2 to Freeze Up.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

I tried using DVD Decrpyt and it hung up on VTS_02_1.VOB, it tried 66 times before I stopped it. Used two different drives....

I have tried DVD43, clonedvd2, and any dvd, and tried them with my dvdxcopy too, I can't them work, and still can't get get it work. Any other suggestions, or I quit!!!

I am happy to report success with Bewitched.
I have been using DVD Shrink with AnyDVD running in the background for most of my work.
When I tried Bewitched no luck. I did read about and downloaded
DVDFAB and gave it a try. I used the Express method and I was pleasantly surprised to get a positive working result.
For what its worth.

Yeah, as much as I loved DVD Decrypt, I think it is going to be a thing of the past since it is no longer going to be updated. Sony seems to be very strong in doing their encryption as I can do any other new DVD with decrypter. From what i hear, DVD FAb is still being updated and worked like a charm with Bewitched so i guess that is what i will use. I still use Shrink and then decrypter to burn.

am I doing something wrong, I downloaded dvdfab I guess it was the express, I tried bewitched and it doesn't work still, can you help with how to use it, I put movie in dvd reader and hit start, had blank dvd in burner it said it was successful but there was nothing on the blank, or should I say the dvd player did not read it . do I need to close my dvd 43 when using dvd fab?

All I had was DVD fab open, nothing else. I put the movie in the drive, selected where the movie was (what drive it was) and then hit start, when it was done it was in c:/ program files/dvd fab/DVD.
It was in that folder, should have worked just fine. Just check where you installed DVDfab and that is where it should be

For a sure way to make no errors on the dvd, this is what i do:
I have on my comp:
DVD Decrypter - To burn
DVD Shrink - To re author
DVD Fab - to rip to hard drive
Open up DVD Shrink and click on re author. Then go to where your movie is. Take the Title 1 movie and drag it over to the left, it will then analize it. Then click on backup and a window will appear. There should be a line at the top of that window that says Burn with DVD Decrypter ISO file (not that exact wording but something of the sort). click that and then click on start. Thats it.
On the 3rd tab of that small window, there is a 2 check boxes that you may check to improve quality of the DVD, I usually do that but it does take longer to process.
If you dont have those programs you can DL them from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/
Let me know how it goes.........

dvd decrypter worked fine for me, so I don't know what you guys are having problems with.
