Just did this movie with Xcopy Platinum ver. 5 with AnyDVD running in the background, did movie only and whole disk. Both came out fine and am playing the movie now, no errors so far. Also ripped with Decrypter and AnyDVD and it ripped to HDD. Decrypter for me on its own would not do it. Also, did it with AnyDVD and CloneDVD and there were not problems.

What are the steps that you took on decrypter?
Honestly, all I did was put the disc in and click the icon to hard drive then went and got some coffee. I don't use any different setting, only change something about making the destination semi-automated, or something like that.

Oh I also decrypt movies at only 2x, I'm old school and a firm believer in taking it nice and slow when reading the disc.

1) Used AnyDVD (Version 5.4.4.1) running in ther background
-------> Once it does its thing

2) Open up DvdFab (Version 2.9.5.2 Beta3)
-------> Save it to a certin location on the Hard Drive

4)Close DvdFab

5)Open DVD Shrink (Version 3.2)
--------> Hit Open Files
--------> Look for where you saved the Movie
5)Hit Backup

6)Then insert black dvd

You folks that have been successful, are you reauthoring or are you just copying the disc? I could copy the whole disc with no problems using CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD 5.4.4.1. But...if I tried to alter it by removing things it gave me the errors. I was able to get what I wanted by ripping it with Decrypter and AnyDVD running, then use DVDshrink to open the file folder and reauthor from there. After that backup as usual.

Hope this helps.

I just did it, using only DVDdecrypter in file mode. DVDshrink is doing it's thing as I type.
I found out how to do it using a PSL file.

I got it to work with AnyDVD running in the background. Ripped it with DVD Decrypter to the HD, then I used DVD Shrink. When I tried to use DVD Shrink before i used DVD Decrypter it said the DVD was to big. It couldn't compress it enough. So I ripped it to the HD with DVD Decrypter.

I also had trouble decrypting Bewitched with DVD Decrypter. It would stop at 10% and give an error code. I downloaded the trial version of AnyDVD, restarted my computer, opened the program, and left it run in the background. I then used DVD Decrypter, as always, and it decrypted fine.

After trying many different ways, the way jeffjaym worked for me,( the directons are in this thread) I have dvdxcopy plat, it would not work at all, I ended up using dvd decrupter
dvd shrink
dvd fab
I had to try it twice for the first time it was scrambled. But I did realize that the screen that showed the preview was blank and the second time it showed the movie in fast forward. I took the advice of someone on this thread and did it at 2x the speed, not sure if that is why it worked. But thanks to you all for your suggestions. If I can get it to work I do believe anyone can!!!! Thanks again

Edit your post and remove your email addy - against forum rules + spammers just love this.
Clone and AnyDVD can be downloaded from here:
http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd_rippers/anydvd.cfm
http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd_rippers/clonedvd.cfm
Plus aD members are getting $10 if you decide to buy (21 free trial). With the new copy protections it's well worth it. It's the 2 progs I used to back up the movie w/o a problem.
If you looking for DVDFab Decrypter - here's a link:

I tried: Decrypter (latest edition, it bombed at 361 tries)
Shrink (latest edition- nothing doing there either)
DVD FAB- forget it]
Blaze DVD COpy- Nothing.

Then I tried Any DVD (v5.4) with clone DVD 2 and voila
a workable copy. As the man says, looks like with
no updates, decrypter might be a thing of the past!!

I thought I might put my two cents worth in on Bewitched. I was able to get a backup with X-Copy Express 3.0.0.0 and Any DVD 5.4.4.1 with no problems. Might work with Clone DVD as well. Any DVD 5.4.4.1 seems to be the key ingredient.

I tried what Fatray suggested and it worked fine....
Only thing it does in the beginning of the movie it will switch back and forth from "play" and "pause". I used Nero recode and edit out the first few frames and that fixed it.

I will still be getting Any DVD and DVD Fab.

Thanks everybody.....

(Thanks) Ripped and burned Bewitched in about 30 minutes after messing around for hours.
PS: had to turn off DVD43 first.

I've looked at all of the responses but none seem to address my issue...can someone please help?

Tried burning Bewitched and get a message saying it's too big for disc. Using DVD Shrink to burn. Tried removing things but still way too big. Any suggestions to get it to burn properly?

@ ArnieBear

The link you posted about the AnyDVD update version 5511, I didn't see it on the Slysoft website. Do you know why? Did you update your AnyDVD from this link? I'm a little sketptical because all my updates have come from the Slysoft site when they come out and I'm notified as soon as I log on to my computer that there's an update waiting. Maybe you could put my mind at ease. I appreciate it! PM me.

Duh sorry ArnieBear, maybe next time I'll actually read the link a little more closely!

I am also having problems with Bewitched. The problem I get is that makes it look fine when I use dvdshrink 3.2.0.15 with the latest AnyDVD 5.5.1.1. It will analize it fine. The problem is that when I Re-Author, I slide the Title 1 over and then view it in the screen it shows up blank all up to close to the end of the movie where he is in the room where coby obrian is on tv & hes about to go on his show naked. It will play from there all the way to the end. I try to back it up anyways and it will skip most of the movie untill that part. I tried to use Decrypter 3.5.4.0 and put it to a dvd file and it seems ok, but I tried to open with shrink and the exact same thing happens. I have also tried using DVD43 3.6.2.111 visa versa with or withour AnyDVD, and DVD Region 5.82. I have tried CloneDVD2 and some wierd error would come up when it loaded the disc. I tried the new DVD Fab platinum express and it didnt even work. Then tried the DVD Fab platinum Gold and I thought it worked but I couldnt get shrink to open them.
I am very frustrated now. Everyone say AnyDVD will work but me. If you know a sure fire way to get this to burn then I will go get the movie again. Other than that, I am not renting anymore newer sony DVD's untill then.
