Sounds like a scam! yeah exactly what I though at first.
Best place to start is the BBC news report:

Explains there that the offer is completely legit.


Ill explain what you have to do to get the ipod, you go to the link and
sign up with freeipod.com which is completely free and has no hidden
costs or obligations. From there you have to sign up with one of the
offers, personally I chose screenselect.co.uk and have received a few
free dvd rentals for the past two weeks while waiting for freeipod.com
to confirm my subscription with screenselect.co.uk.


It took roughly two weeks for the confirmation to come through and I
have now cancelled my screenselect account (which is free for the first
month anyways). So I have paid nothing and all I need to do is refer
five people and I will receive the freeipod. Pretty Scwha huh? ;)


Still need a few referrals to get my free ipod, please give me a hand
by using my refferal link to sign up.
