you'd have to get someone to give you a valid NTSC machine ID. I don't think you can just make them up.

Peritass,
How did you get the paradox id changer to work? I burned the bin and cue files but when I try and load it just hangs on the cogswap screen.( I'm using cogswap and mem card exploit)
I looked at the system config file and it was missing a line (vmode = ntsc) I add this line and now it gets past the cogswap screen and turns black just like it is getting ready to load but just hangs there now. I can run the core console id changer but not the paradox one. One other thing do you know of any sites that have a good tutorial on using these apps.(id changers)
Thanks

I got the Paradox ID changer to load using Swap Magic 3.6, but unless you have an alternative Machine ID and iLink ID, there is little point in using it.

In my case I would need a valid NTSC ID, and apparently there is no way to create/generate this so I would need to get one from an American that does not play online (so we do not clash!!)

Unless of course I am missing something?

How do you get the machine ID from a valid U.S. NTSC Playstation 2?

I have a Japanese NTSC PStwo which can't play any online U.S. NTSC games due to its fucking region. I bought it when I moved to Hong Kong because it's pre moded.

My parents still have my old U.S. NTSC Playstation 2, and I can walk them through extracting the id since they'll never use it online.

Also where can I download the paradox paradox id changer?

One problem is I have a Japanese mod chipped PStwo slim. I heard the paradox Id changer doesn't work with this.

Does this mean I have no chance playing U.S. game online? Even U.S. originals? Mind you my PSTwo is NTSC, but it's also a Japanese model not U.S.
