I was trying to copy some burned DVD+R movies that I burned with DVD Shrink, but when I insert the disk the computer seems to read the disk as a blank disk. I tried it with a couple other disks and the same thing keeps happening. I was wondering if theres a way to get my computer to read the disks so I could copy them ?

Thanks

What kind of DVD+R media you're using? What speeds did you burned them at?

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Check to see if there IS anything on them. Use windows explorer and explore your drive.

I use Memorex 16X DVD+R. Im not sure what speed I burn on. I dont see how there could not be nothing on them when Ive watched them on a DVD player already.

I just tried another disk and it read it this time, and I did nothing differently. Is there a chance my DVD/CD writer is screwed up?

PS Alkohol, nice work on the FF7 cd cover, that movie is easy the best movie Ive seen this year.

You are about to get a load of responses as to the bad media Memorex pawns off. Was the disc that worked the same brand? Memorex is known for breakdowns after a few plays. So yes it is possible that it wouldnt work as it previously did. Use good media (as described in alkohol's sig) and keep the burn speed down around 4x untill ya have the process mastered then maybe bump it up to see if the quality is still there. Media and burn speeds answer a lot of questions asked around here.

was just passing by.......

..let's see exactly which Memorex you have there, download dvd identifier (free) - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id... and use it to 'identify' one of those discs, pasting the results here

Yes the disk I tried was a memorex disk and one I had tried early which could not be read.
Ive heard about the bad quality memorex and tried using Fuji Film Disks afterwards but for some reason my DVD writer would not read the fuji's and I couldnt find any firmware to update my writer.

I used the DVD ID and my memorex disks are, Philips C16
