Just got a new BenQ1640 and thought it would be fun to take it for a spin right out of the box after a firmware update. Using 7 different media codes on it using the same movie, Batman Begins with AnyDVD and Recode2, movie only. Here are the quick scan results with 7 different media codes, including our favorite, Memorex 4x and even Princo 2x, (only full scan mode done). Keep in mind, I DO NOT use the last two media any more. Those blanks were over 2 years old media that I had lying around collecting dust back from the DVDxCopy days with my old Optorite Burner. It goes to show how good this new BenQ really is, getting the results that it did. Thanks Saugmon for recommending such a quality burner and for a great price from Newegg.com as well. Now where is Venom to check out that Memorex 4x score :)

wow, quality score of 100 on a PRODISC media ID, that is a NEW one~ :) hey, whatever works for you~ i have this same drive as well, but i haven't tried a Prodisc media yet, and probably never will~

gotta love the Taiyo Yuden scans, very nicely done Scubabud~ happy burning~ :)
