I recently purchased the Slim Kit Pro from this site: http://eu.mod-chip.com/ps2_swap_set.php, and after setting everything up, I found that my Breaker Pro CD didn't work. I'm using a V12 Slimline PS2, and whenever I try to load the Breaker Pro CD, I get that red error message saying that it's not a valid disk. The other 2 Swap Magic disks work just fine, however.

Anyone know how to get the disk working? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Is it Scratched or dirty? You need to insert Breaker Pro, Reset, and allow it to boot. Swap Magic loads, so that likely rules out laser issues. Mine came scratched to hell and didn't work well, so the site sent me another one. Did you match the correct version of your PS2 to the correct version of Breaker Pro? I.E. a PAL Breaker Pro for a PAL PS2 or NTSC BP with an NTSC PS2? Last of all, you're not using a backup of Breaker Pro, are you? The only way to boot a backup of Breaker Pro is with an original copy or a modchip.

I'm using an original copy, the PAL version, which matches my PS2, and it's in perfect condition, but still doesn't work. What could be wrong?

Oh, and what game is the screenshot in your sig from? Looks interesting.

Hmm yeah sounds like a difficult one. I use Breaker Pro with a flip top, but it should be the same principle as with the slim tool. I know that Breaker Pro works fine with the slimline. Maybe it's just a bad press. If you're using the correct method with the slim tool, then I'm not sure what the problem is. Does it load Psone games? Your not using a HD loader are you?

Normal PS1 games work just fine, and nope, not using a HD loader.

The simplest explanation would be a defective Breaker Pro disc. Not a hardware problem (everything else boots), software problem (Swap Magic and Psone games work) , or user error (you can use slim tool to boot Swap Magic), what else is there? You probably should contact the merchant and return it. Not much else I can think of. Good Luck.

I've sent them an e-mail detailing the problem and requesting a replacement. Thanks for the advice.

Again, what game is the screenshot in your sig from? I'm curious.

One of the DBZ games. Budokai 2, 3, or sagas, Maybe Budokai Tenkaichi, not really sure, just googled for Super Saiyan 3.
