About half the time that I use DSVDShrink it will go through the encoding process twice in a row. I do the quick analysis, chop off the beginning credits, chop off the end credits and select what audio I want. I then hit back-up and it will run the encoding for 20+ minutes. Once it finishes that encoding it will do it again immediately. After the 2nd encoding then it will let me burn the copy.

Any ideas why the double encoding?

Its not double encoding. Its doing a "Deep Analysis" first, then encoding. You can turn off "Deep Analysis" in the "Quality Settings" tab after you click the "Backup!" button.
