Ive just bought RegionX from ebay and have noticed it didnt come with the black memory card I have seen advertised that comes with the disk. I believe I am correct in saying you can use an ordinary memory card which I have already pulugged into my PS2 silver slimline. I put the disk in and booted up. The PS2 loaded up the red screen saying this is not a PS2 disk blah blah. So I used the cd version of swap magic and then swapped the disk to the regionx and it loaded fine.
Then the screen comes on with a picture of a black PS2 and the memory card saying insert memory card (at this stage my memory card is in already). It doesnt get any further than this and if I reset and go to the browser it does show in the memory card that something from DVD region X has been written to it however when I try to run an NTSC dvd it wont work

Hope I have explained correctly as I cannot find any forums that can help me on this matter and the Region X forum is down at the moment

My version of DVD region X didn't come with the memory card dongle and worked ok on my V3 ok. Tried it in my new slim line PS2 and I get the same red screen. I'l try tonight with my swap magix discs and see if I can get it to load a DVD. Although I don't think I have any foreign region dvds at the moment. I've got a non region porn NTSC disc I could try though.
