I used DVD Decrypter to backup my PS2 games and it seemed to only have worked well with one game. All the other games take forever to load like MK:Shoalin Monks. Ultimate Spiderman loads up the developer and credits at the beginning then freezes. Is there a better way to do this? I use swap magic discs if you needed to know.

What media are you using and What file are you burning? The ISO or the MDS file?

I would suggest burning the .MDS file instead of the ISo file.

If all else fails you will have to rebuild certain games.

Sounds exactly like bad media. Get some Taiyo Yuden's and burn at 4x. Should have no more problems.

By the way, I did have to rebuild Ultimate Spiderman, due to freezing as well, so that may be the problem with that one.

everyone talks about media, but I have never had a problem with a game after doing the iso rebuild...I would suggest rebuilding both games...see the guide at the top of the forum

The MDS file that is 5k instead of the multi gigabyte ISO? Huh?

The media is TDK dvd-r's and I use the iso file. its is so many gigs a file so i figured to use that. Why would you use a 5k file? I dont understand that

I think that decrypter just uses the mds file to burn the iso file anyway, so I don't know how it buys you anything, but i've seen others saying to burn the mds file

PS2 - V4 W/Flip top, Swap Magic 3.3
Burning - Sony DRU 720A

Yes, with DVD Decrypter you burn the MDS file
Just like doing a movie where you burn the cue file.
It just tells the computer where to find the stuff it
needs to burn (the bin file in that case)
