I've burned over 600 dvds, does that mean I should start a thread each time I do a burn?

I would like to REFLECT on the movie, House of Mirrors...Not! :)
Most here can burn most media and when they run into a problem they will start a thread asking for help, not the other way around.
So I will have to agree with Pulsar... on ALL counts..

Since the thread is started....
I had to use DVDFab to get House of Wax to my HDD, DVD Shrink gave me "Invalid DVD Structure".
The case doesn't show the Sony Logo, shows it made by Warner Bros. Anyways just to let everyone know! =)

oh! MR. pulsar very nice of you. do you know why ravenpoe and others post whenever they rip new releases, because of the new encryptions that keep coming out from time to time. pulsar was just informing us that the movies can be ripped easy. you didn't have to be an A-- and reply that way. thank you for the info. ravenpoe, some of do value your post.
Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

@ elizerroj. I will not be drawn into a futile debate of what should or should not be posted. I was rather "brusque" in my initial reply, but I did apologise for it.
You are a member, not a newbie. You should know by now how this forum works.
As it has taken 2 days for you to find & reply to this thread, you obviously have nothing better to do with your time.
I take it that you will say the same sarcastic remarks & call them "an a**" also to ScubaBud, crozzman & creaky? Who just happen to agree with me.
Unless you wish to start a flame war (I would prefer not to, to be perfectly honest), I suggest that you put your brain into gear before engaging with your keyboard.

Do you know when the latest new encryption came out, (date wise,)? It was back in Dec 2004. I am sure that when a newer encryption comes out, with over 300,000 members on aD currently, someone WILL let us know. Until that happens, extra posts are NOT required when everything goes well with a burn, but are very much welcome when the reverse is true and a member has a problem and requires help with that problem.

as for house of wax i am having a problem backing it up. I get a duplicate sector error using DVD Shrink or decrypter any ideas?

As far as House of Wax goes, AnyDVD worked for me on this one no problems.
Flame wars? We really don't need them. I think it starts when someone starts name calling and cussing. We don't need to stoop that low, and it destroys the usefulness of a thread. Everyone here has valid points, please let us all try and resolve our confilcts in a civilized manner. By civilized, i don't mean modern civilization where we drop nukes :). I am taking no sides here other than let us all abide by the rules and play nice, or the mods will come in and kick sand in our playground ~:) Lets all have fun and learn something. No one here has come up with a new insult that i haven't heard of before, so name calling and personal attacks are best kept off the net. You can still call someone an SOB, or any of the other colorful statments, just keep it to yourself please. Thank you all for hearing my rant on playing nice. Now i am going to go get my coloring book and comics and play in another sandbox. This one is getting messy :)

I'm still having trouble with House of Wax. I installed the latest version of AnyDVD, and proceeded to encode with DVD Shrink, and got the same read/CRC error as before, but this time around 70% vs the previous 58% progress. Anybody that has successfully duplicated this dvd, could you please provide details on how to get it done?

mtlsh, I just burned House of Wax, it took a few tries using several different things but I got it. I had to use DVD Shrink and re-author it using only Title 1, main movie. No problem after that. Try it and see if it works for you. I also used AnyDVD in the background. It is updated. I tried DVDDycrypt and it wouldn't work. Kept hanging up with read errors. The DVDShrink works.

Make sure that you have the latest vs. of AnyDVD. Should be vs. 5.6.1.1 I haven't tried to b.u. H. O. W. yet but there should not be any encryptions out there that AnyDVD can not handle. Try cleaning your copy and try ripping with dvdd or dvdfab decrypter prior to loading it into shrink. If none of the above work then you most likely have a bad press.

@ mtlsh,
I agree with Mort81, sometimes those hard to rip disc with decrypter will rip without a problem using DVDFab decrypter. You can get it free at this site on the software page.
Give that a go and see what happens.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the help. I just installed the latest of AnyDVD and as soon as I get my hands on the original again, I'll give it another shot. At the time I first posted, though, I did have the latest AnyDVD. It seems like those Sony releases are always tough. But thanks again for all the support!

I ripped this today with DVD Decrypter and AnyDVD running in the background no problem. I used dvd-rb/cce to encode but once it is ripped it should load into any transcoding/encoding software.
