While trying to make a back up of my newly purchased Quake 4, I recently ran into some problems. It always gets a read error around sector 800 or so, and won't rip more than .6% of the disc. I've tried a variety of different programs and still gotten nothing. Little help?

Dont all games give you read errors when you are copying them? That is how people make mini-disc images.

Alaphic, what program did you use to try to make your back-up? I used Alcohol 120 to back mine up. DVDBack23 is right though, almost all games I've backed up give me read errors. I use SafeDisc4 Hider in order to play my backed up copies (that have SafeDisc4) and it works great. Or you could just find a NO-CD crack. (Some other games that have SafeDisc4 are Call of Duty 4 and FEAR)

I tried alcohol, and it just kept hanging. As for the no-cd crack, i would've just used one, but i always make a copy of the games that i buy and then put them back in their packages and don't touch them. I'm something of a collector as well as a player.
