I have some Maxell's made by Ritek and on the back of them they have some sort of ring towards the middle of the disc and when I burn a movie or a it only burns the very beggining. My pc says its been burnt 100% but it clearly looked like it didnt burn correctly. Does that mean I got a defective pack or did I burn it to fast? Im gonna try burning it at 4x or maybe 2x. I usually have good experiences with maxell and ritek makes good dvds so it seems kind of odd to me that this is happening. Have any of you guys ever had this happen. If so please reply with any possible solutions to fixing this without having to go back to the store because I think I lost the reciept. Thanks to all that do reply.

do the blanks ones have a ring on them or just the ones you have burned? i would def. burn at 4x and yes Maxell(ritek) is fine media so i wouldnt think that would be your problem. remember when your burning a dvd turn everything else off ,programs ,internet connection etc.

You say that it LOOKS like it didn't burn correctly. This may be a silly question, but have you tried playing the burnt DVD?

It doesn't matter what it LOOKS like if it plays perfectly ...

I should have made myself more clear. what I meant was
"but it clearly looked like it didnt burn correctly then I tried it and it didnt work on my dvd player."
Come on now, of course I checked to see if they worked before posting a thread Im not that silly.
