I converted a few .avi movies into DVD and then burned them to DVD disc. They play great in my computer, but when I play them in a regular DVD player I noticed that the volume is kind of low. I have to turn the TV volume all the way up to hear it. How can I adjust the volume on a movie before/after converting it and burning it? Thanks!

I noticed that, too. I would like to know how to make the volume of the DVD louder, too!

I'm using VSO DivX to DVD. Sometimes DVDSanta. Both have given me the same low volume results. I then go through the burn process with DVDShrink and Decrypter. Any ideas? Thanks.

all good programs.... but I think it's the DVD itself....it had a volume limiter when it was produced so the AC3 file (the audio file) is limited to the volume it was produced at. What I want to do it boost the volume higher ..... for that I think you have to take out the AC3 file and adjust the volume using a program like COOL EDIT PRO, then saved, then reburn the DVD with the new file!~ If that's possible. I want a program that can adjust the volume, save the new file, burn the DVD all in one!

Any other suggestions anyone. Is 'IHOE's' idea a good one to go on. It sounds like a good idea but he's not 100 percent sure it will work. So I don't want to go through all that work to find it doesn't work. Thanks.

Hi all,

I came in hear at the request of IHoe :-)

I know of one program that will do what you are all asking, but I haven't used it in a while, but I know it works because I did it before. You have to take your original video file and re-encode the audio with it keep the screen size and everything else the same. Then use DivXtoDVD like you have been. The proggy is called FlaskMPEG and you can get it here http://go.to/flaskmpeg

Good luck all
