MAN I cannot wait 'till this game comes out. I can't stop watching the trailer! lol. Ten years before Ace Combat 5, I've always wondered what it would be like to play during the Belkan war.

I hear it may be out early 2006, like 02/01/2006 (I think that's what it said). I've got time to save up some cash lol.

Hm... sounds like you get to play as the Osea or Yuktobonia squad in this one.

Nevermind, it seems you play as a younger version of Captain Bartlett. Anyone else here a fan of Ace Combat?

I did like the other ace combat games (I have yet to play and complete the latest one). is balkan war gonna have online capabilities 'cause I've always thought this ace combat would be a great online game.

NTSC DNAS threads.

Yeah same here. I haven't heard of any online capabilities for the belkan war, I do hope they do that though. I was reading on GameSpot that theres going to be a rival ace mode, kinda like the encounters of Yellow Squadron in 04, but said to be an experience like no other.

I was able to get the NTSC/J copy of The Belkan War, and MAN OH MAN this game is by far the best in the series. In fact, I just beat it like 15 minutes ago, and got a lot of extras afterwards. I think the US release comes out in April, like the 25th I think. I won't be giving away any spoilers, don't want to ruin it for everyone. The missions are action packed. About what I said earlier about the rival ace mode, there is. How you fight the battle determines the Ace squadron that you encounter. I got the Knight status on every mission after the 6th, and they were fun to battle against. Oh yeah, check out IGN's review for the game about the different status' you can get: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/693/693421p1.html

I will say this though, I beat the game in Hard mode first, and got the music player as a reward. Now, I was looking at the songs, and the tracks at the top right were the ones from Ace Combat 5, the arcade mode. Thing is, the title said VS STAGE 03. I think in order to get VS mode, you might have to beat Expert or Ace mode. I'll say something when I do, but I'll be getting the American release on the 25th that's for sure!
